Terms of Service
Last updated 4 August 2026
These terms govern your use of hourglasstrader.com, the Hourglass Trader Discord, and the tools and research we publish. Using any of them means you accept these terms.
The most important thing on this page
We are not your financial adviser and nothing we publish is financial advice. Hourglass Trader is educational. We describe what we do with our own capital and why. We are not registered as an investment adviser or broker-dealer, no advisory relationship is created by your use of this service, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell any security.
Options trading carries substantial risk, including assignment, margin calls, and the loss of more than your initial investment. Every decision you make with your own money is yours. If you need advice for your situation, speak to a licensed professional.
Accounts
- You must be 18 or older and provide accurate information.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password secure.
- One person per account. Sharing credentials, or reselling or redistributing our data, ends the account without refund.
Free accounts and trials
A free account lets you read every research post and blog on this site at no cost, and activate a one-time 72-hour trial of the trading tools. The trial runs from the moment you activate it, is available once per account, and requires no payment method. We may end or change trials at any time; doing so never affects a paid subscription.
Subscriptions and billing
- Paid plans renew automatically at the interval you chose until cancelled.
- Prices are shown at checkout. Changes to pricing do not affect your current term.
- Cancel any time from your account. Access continues to the end of the paid period.
- Monthly plans are non-refundable once the period has begun.
- Annual plans: if an annual renewal charges you unexpectedly, contact us within 14 days and we will refund it.
- Lifetime Discord access is a one-time purchase and is non-refundable.
- Failed payments may suspend access until resolved.
What we provide, and what we do not promise
Our scanners and research are produced from third-party market data and our own analysis. We work to keep them accurate and current, but:
- Market data can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong.
- Scanners can be empty. Several are designed to surface signals rarely, and an empty result is a real result.
- We do not guarantee uptime, and maintenance or upstream outages can interrupt access.
- Results we publish are historical and specific to our own account. They are not typical, not a projection, and not a guarantee.
Acceptable use
Do not scrape, automate access to, resell, or redistribute our data or research. Do not attempt to bypass access controls. Do not use the community to promote other paid services, harass members, or solicit. We may remove access for any of these without refund.
Intellectual property
The scanners, research, written content, and branding are ours. Your subscription is a personal, non-transferable licence to use them while it is active. You keep ownership of anything you post in the community, and grant us permission to display it there.
Third-party services
We rely on Stripe, Google Firebase, Discord, Sanity, and market-data providers. Their outages, terms, and policies are outside our control.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms, and will refund any unused prepaid period unless the breach involves credential sharing, redistribution, or abuse.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced to subscribers by email. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States.
